BOZEMAN — On Thursday, Montana State University announced its first ever “Show Some Love” Giving Day.
It's a 29-hour online fund-raising event beginning at noon on Feb. 13th, and wrapping up at 5PM on Feb.14th.
The project aims to raise $300,000 for more than 60 student groups and their projects, along with three student scholarships offered by the university.
Vice president of communications for MSU, Drew Van Fossen, says the university hopes the community can show up, and show some love for some of the university's key programs.
“It's just a way for us to help raise some private support for a lot of these group and their causes that don't get a lot of assistance with their budgeting and fundraising,” said Van Fossen. “So, it allows us to pull in some crowdfunding in order to help them do that,” he said.
