DILLON — Imagine having a classroom for Early Childhood education where Western students could interact with youngsters while instructors were able to observe without interference. That is just what the model classroom at Montana Western in Dillon is like. Nanci Red Bird is the Early Childhood Program Chair for the Dillon school and she talked about the program with Montana This Morning’s Chet Layman as part of the show’s on-going visit to Montana Western. Red Bird says the Dillon program also collaborates with other programs around Montana, helping childcare professionals with resources and on-going educational opportunities. Red Bird also notes that Western’s smaller class sizes makes the hand-on learning opportunities stronger than in a larger classroom setting.
