CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — An Ohio village's annual tradition of the giant New Year’s Eve popcorn ball drop is back, but this year it’s bigger and better.
Every year, the Chagrin Falls Popcorn Shop creates a massive popcorn ball to drop at midnight to ring in the New Year.
The shop in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, retired Ms. Poppy, the popcorn ball used last year, and replaced it with "Hugh Mungus." The new popcorn ball six times bigger than Ms. Poppy, weighing more than 233 pounds with a diameter of 5 feet 10 inches.
