BOZEMAN — Talking about suicide can be difficult and painful.
On Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, a group of people will be gathering in Lindley Park to try to help make some of those conversations less painful.
Tracy Rassley has been organizing the Out Of The Darkness walk for the past four years. She started it a year after her son took his own life.
She told MTN’s Chet Layman talking about him and his suicide was difficult but important.
Rassley says people who’ve lost someone to suicide often feel alone. The Out Of The Darkness Walk is a way to show them they are not alone.
The walk begins at 9 am on Saturday at Lindley Park. Special music and speakers will proceed the walk and Rassley says the entire event will be wrapped up by noon. She also says there will be lots of people on-hand with information for anyone wanting to learn more.
