The 2019 float permit applications for Smith River State Park are now available through Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019. The permit drawing will be held on Monday, Mar. 4, 2019.

Permits are required to float the 59-mile section of the river between Camp Baker and Eden Bridge. The permits are issued each year through a lottery.

Applications must be submitted, or postmarked by Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, and cost a $10 non-refundable permit application fee.

There are three ways to apply:

Apply online through the Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) Automated Licensing System.

Download and print the application and instructions and mail the application to the address on the form.

Pick up an application from any FWP office.
