Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks said in a press release Monday that rewards have been increased in two recent poaching cases.
FWP is investigating the illegal shooting of several elk and pronghorn in Park County on or around Feb. 13. FWP had offered a $1,000 reward that has been increased by an anonymous donor by $5,000, making the total available reward for information $6,000.
FWP is also investigating an unrelated case of several trumpeter swans that were shot east of Manhattan around Feb. 19. FWP is offering a $1,000 reward in this case, with another $1,000 being offered by the Sacajawea Audubon Society.
Anyone with information on either of these incidents is asked to call Montana’s poaching hotline, 1-800-TIP-MONT (847-6668). Informants can remain anonymous.
