BOZEMAN — Dec. 3, 2019 is giving Tuesday and for the third year a group of people are going to want you to roll of your sleeve instead of digging in your pockets.
The Harvest of Giving Blood Drive was created following the Route-91 Harvest Festival shooting in Las Vegas in 2017.
Jolene Randall was there and survived that attack. She says when she got home she wanted to find a way to give back to those you helped that night, and she came up with holding a blood drive.
She and her friend Pam Shrauger who has been holding a spring blood drive in honor of her son teamed up to create the Harvest of Giving Blood Drive. They joined Montana This Morning’s Chet Layman, along with Lisa Knapp from the Bozeman health Blood bank to talk about the blood drive. They say the need is great this time of year, and The Harvest of Giving Blood Drive makes it easy to help.
Shrauger says you just have to go to bloodhero.com to make an appointment, or she says walk-ins will be welcome. The blood drive will be Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 from 10-3 at The Commons at the corner of Love Lane and Baxter.
