DILLON — The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest has selected Jamie Tripp as the new Dillon District Ranger.
“I am excited to have Jamie as our new Ranger,” commented Forest Supervisor Cheri Ford. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will benefit the Forest as well as continue to build great working relationships....”
Jamie is a native of Montana and a graduate of the University of Montana School of Business and School of Forestry where she double majored in 2002.
“I look forward to returning to Big Sky country and serving the people and landscapes of southwest Montana, said Tripp.
Tripp's Forest Service career started out like many others where she put boots on the ground as a seasonal employee on a fire crew. The first 15 years were spent primarily on the Flathead National Forest working in the fire and fuels management program. Prior to accepting the position as the Dillon District Ranger position, she was the Pacific Southwest Regions Fuels Program Manager. While in that position Jamie sought out detail opportunities, including filling in on the Eldorado National Forest as a District Ranger and another on the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest as the Forest Fire Management Officer.
Tripp begins her new position September 30.
