Our Mom, Grandma, and Best Friend went to heaven peacefully on August 1, 2018.
Doris Jean Carr was born September 11, 1934 in Missoula, Montana to Ralph and Eunice Kuhnes. She graduated from Missoula County High School. Doris married Derril Arthun and was blessed with four children. Together, they built the family ranch.
Doris later married Jim Carr.
Doris’s passions in life were family, cooking, gardening, playing the organ, and making others happy.
Doris played the organ at Shields River Lutheran Church in Wilsall, Peace Lutheran Church in Belgrade, and the Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. Doris, also known as Gramma D, baked pies for the Cateye Café for over ten years. She was so proud to be known by her tremendous baking skills.
Doris is survived by her children, Ron Arthun (Kayl), Ken Arthun, Linda Heath (Wayne), and Tina Caracciolo (Kevin). Her grandchildren are Megan Evans, Haley Dunkel, Kirsten Arthun, Mark Arthun, Cole Arthun, Selisse Arthun, Clinton Heath, Jessica Watson, Taylor Caracciolo, and Kelsey Caracciolo. Doris also has eight great-grandchildren.
Doris loved her family dearly. Love you, Mom!
Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 7, at Hope Lutheran Church in Bozeman, with Funeral Services to begin at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Gallatin Valley Sunset Memorial Gardens on the Frontage Road.
