Barbara McMullen passed away on August 25, 2018, at the age of 89. She was born on September 21, 1928 to Catherine and Everett North in Billings, Montana.
Barb married R.G. (Gordon) McMullen in 1951. While living in Seattle, they had seven children, returning to Bozeman in 1965.
Barb worked secretarial and bookkeeping positions at MSU, for Gordon’s plumbing business, and HRDC.
After raising her kids, she pursued her interest in fiber arts taking up weaving and spinning. She was a member of the Bozeman Weaver’s Guild. She attended workshops and conferences making many good friends.
In their retirement, Barb and Gordon enjoyed their artistic hobbies, traveling to New Zealand, England, China, Mexico, and the United States including Alaska.
Barb resided at Bozeman Lodge for the past five years, meeting new people and participating in many activities. She appreciated that someone else did the cooking!
Barb was preceded in death by Gordon; her son, Richey; and brother, Jimmy.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Marilyn), Patrick (Lisa), Joey (Shelly), and Tim; daughters, Cathy (Daryl Gustafson) and Stacie (Tim Johnson); brother, Joe North; and 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A remembrance for Barb will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Bozeman Lodge.
