Posted

At 723 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking collapsing thunderstorms
along a line extending from 13 miles east of Ennis to near Monida.
Movement was east at 35 mph.

Pea size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include…
West Yellowstone, Monida, Big Sky, Lakeview, Yellowstone Village,
Targhee Pass, Raynolds Pass and Monida Pass.
If on or near Hebgen Lake or Upper and Lower Red Rock Lakes, get out
of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember,
lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm.
If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by
lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water
in a thunderstorm.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
these storms pass.
