SNOW POTENTIAL FOR FRIDAY:
The cold front moving through Montana will bring a mix of rain and snow to parts of southwest Montana.  The latest models indicate that there may be some rain that mixes in with the snow which could drop snowfall totals.  The models are also indicating that drier may also limit snow totals.  The latest data shows that most valleys will see 1”-2” of snow with locally higher amounts up to 4” in some of the foothills.  Mountains and mountain passes could still see between 4”-8” of snow.  The afternoon and evening will pose the biggest impact for drivers as we could see ice develop on roadways as the colder air settles into the region.  You could also see slick driving conditions at pass level early Saturday morning.
