BOZEMAN – A warm cored mid-latitude cyclone with a well organized Low, cold front and warm front produced a wide variety of weather across Montana. The warm sector of the storm produced rain Saturday into Sunday and once the Low and cold front passed through colder temperatures and widespread wet snow.

This all came together to produce wet, snow covered and extremely icy roads by Monday morning. Temperatures will not warm up enough to thaw out area roadways so look for continued icy roads for your Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes.

NEXT WEATHER MAKER:

Another storm is coming to Montana by Tuesday evening into Wednesday and will be exiting our region by Thursday morning.

More snow is likely at all levels with an additional 1″ – 4″ possible for most (not all) valleys and 3″ – 6″ or more for most mountain ranges. This will likely be another high impact travel event so plan on difficult commutes Wednesday into Thursday.
