BOZEMAN – A quiet weather pattern continues for Montana as a strong blocking High-pressure ridge is parked over the Pacific NW.

Stagnant air over Montana will keep inversions alive holding pollutants close to the surface so look for more valley haze into Tuesday.

Clear skies at night and snow on the ground will also continue to allow temperatures to fall close to zero for higher elevated valleys like West Yellowstone with high sun angles and longer days afternoon temperatures are slowly climbing to near normal levels.

No major storm systems in the short term forecast so look for more of the same through the end of the week.

City by City Forecast:

BOZEMAN: LOW: 11°; HIGH TUESDAY: 40°. Clear and cold tonight with light winds. Mostly sunny and mild by Tuesday afternoon with light winds. Normal max temperatures this week are very close to 50. So we are still running slightly below normal. Another interesting climate fact back on this date in 2017 we set a record high of 71 degrees.

BUTTE: LOW: 10°; HIGH TUESDAY: 42°.  A quiet weather pattern will continue for Butte through the next 24 hours. Clear and cold again tonight and mostly sunny and mild Tuesday afternoon. The normal high for today is 44 and a normal low is 20. So current temperature forecasts are still slightly below normal.

DILLON: LOW: 16°; HIGH TUESDAY: 46°.  No changes in the current weather pattern trends for Dillon heading into Tuesday. Dry with chilly lows and mild afternoon highs.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: LOW: 8°; HIGH TUESDAY: 45°. Clear skies for West Yellowstone into Tuesday. This pattern will keep overnight lows falling down close to zero with slowly warming highs reaching the mid 40s again Tuesday afternoon.
