BOZEMAN – SW flow is a little unstable today with thunderstorms developing this afternoon into the early evening hours tonight. These thunderstorms should be weak and short-lived but some could produce brief heavy rain, small hail and, gusty winds.
Wednesday more showers and thunderstorms are likely for SW Montana as a cold front approaches from the west by afternoon. Thunderstorms could be more widespread Wednesday afternoon and some could be a little stronger. So please be ready to seek shelter if you see threatening storm clouds Wednesday.
A bigger weather pattern change is coming by Thursday. A slow deep upper-level trough will sit over the western U.S. and produce a cool and wet weather pattern for most of Montana through next week.
