BOZEMAN – A new Pacific storm is sitting over the Pacific NW today and spreading mid to high-level cloud cover over Montana. There is a very low likelihood for a pop-up thunderstorm today and again Thursday.

A weak cold front will pass through the state Thursday holding temperatures down slightly and it could kick up the wind by Thursday afternoon.

By the weekend a SW flow aloft will continue and there could be limited moisture embedded in the flow. Thunderstorm chances will be low but watch out for developing storms Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoon across SW Montana
