BOZEMAN – The current weather is hot. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s to low 90s around SW Montana Monday and Tuesday.
There is a weak disturbance moving up and over a High-pressure ridge and will produce a few thunderstorms to over SW Montana Monday afternoon and evening and again Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Greatest impacts from thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday will strong outflow wind gusts with a few storms producing brief heavy rain, small hail, and frequent lightning.
A cold front will push across the state late Tuesday into Wednesday and will bring temperatures back down to near-normal levels by Wednesday afternoon.

BOZEMAN: LOW: 56°; HIGH TUESDAY: 90°. Increasing clouds Monday afternoon and early evening with an isolated rumble of thunder. Clearing overnight but clouds will build overhead again Tuesday afternoon with a slight chance for a late day rumble.
BUTTE: LOW: 56°; HIGH TUESDAY: 89°. Isolated thunderstorms could hit Butte in the early evening hours. Storms will end after midnight but will likely return again Tuesday afternoon.
DILLON: LOW: 54°; HIGH TUESDAY: 89°. Pop-up thunderstorms are developing over Beaverhead county Monday afternoon. Most storms will be ending after sunset. Tuesday will bring more of the same, hot temperatures with a few afternoon rumbles.
WEST YELLOWSTONE: LOW: 47°; HIGH TUESDAY: 88°. Isolated thunderstorms are developing around West Yellowstone Monday afternoon but Tuesday afternoon will bring a better chance for late day thunderstorms your way.
