BOZEMAN – Weak High-pressure is building over western Montana tonight with clearing skies and near record lows Thursday morning. Forecast lows are slightly above record level pace but for some only by a few degrees. A hard freeze again tonight for SW Montana.
THE NEXT WEATHER MAKER
A fast-paced pacific cold front will pass through Montana on Friday. This will produce scattered valley rain or snow with snow likely above 5,000’. Snow accumulations should be on the light side with several inches for most mountain ranges and minor accumulations on grassy surfaces for lower valleys Friday.
Ahead of this cold front, temperatures could jump up into the 50s Thursday but will fall back down into the 40s Friday and Saturday.
A general warming trend is likely to begin on Sunday and there is a good chance most of us will see lower 60s by early next week.
