Thunderstorms to continue for a few days

BOZEMAN - The flow aloft is still out of the SW and there continues to be enough monsoon moisture to produce scattered thunderstorms for a few more days.

East of the divide will have a higher probability for stronger thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday. Some storms could be strong to severe with damaging wind gusts or damaging hail. Brief heavy rain and frequent lightning are also likely.

This pattern will continue into Thursday but the moisture flow will be turned off Friday.

The next weather maker will be a strong cold front on Saturday. This will produce strong surface winds and isolated thunderstorms but behind the front will come a sharp drop in temperatures by Sunday.

I will update the forecast temperatures for this weekend tonight at 5:30 pm and 10 pm on KXLF and KBZK.
